1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the GloNeuro website (the “Website”). By using the Website, the user accepts these Terms. Users who do not accept them should not use the Website.

2. Educational purpose; no medical advice

The Website provides general educational information about the brain, the nervous system and neuroscience research. It does not provide medical advice and is not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment or advice from a qualified health professional. Users should not delay seeking or disregard professional advice because of anything read on the Website. In a medical emergency, users should contact local emergency services.

3. Research tools

The Experiment Design Studio, the literature search, the atlas library and the research tool directory are provided to assist learning and planning. Results such as sample-size estimates are approximations based on stated methods and assumptions; users remain responsible for checking them and for the design, ethics approval and conduct of their own research.

4. Intellectual property

Text, illustrations, animations and software created for the Website are © GloNeuro. All rights are reserved. Users may view and print pages and share links to them for personal, non-commercial educational use. Any other reproduction, adaptation or distribution requires the prior written permission of GloNeuro.

Material from other organisations, including atlas data, publication abstracts, portraits, software and fonts, is used under the licences stated on the Credits and Licences page, and remains subject to those licences.

5. Acceptable use

Users must not misuse the Website, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access to it, interfering with its operation, submitting false or abusive messages through its forms, or making automated requests that place an unreasonable load on it or on the services it connects to.

6. Third-party websites

The Website links to journals, databases, research tools and other organisations. GloNeuro does not control and is not responsible for the content, availability or practices of those websites.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Website is provided “as is”. While GloNeuro aims to keep its content accurate and current, it gives no warranty that the content is complete, accurate or up to date, or that the Website will be available without interruption. To the extent permitted by law, GloNeuro is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, the Website or its content.

GloNeuro may revise these Terms. Any revision will be published on this page, and the effective date below will be amended accordingly.
